May Creation No. 12

Last but not least, and again Thanks to Naomi elliot and Corrie for finding the spider web roller wheel!! I must say I have a personal asociation after being bitten by a red back a couple of years ago....yes, I survived!!! It hurt lots though!!! Soooo I added a tiny bit of glossy accents to the back of the spiders which are punched out of black gloss card using the new spider punch. I have cut a portion of the web and backed it onto Crimson cardstock, stamping the edges with the smaller net stamp and then I have mounted this onto jac paper (double sided sticker paper) leaving an even border. I have sprinkled red glitter around the border and then stuck onto the black Bazzill. To add the sentiment I have punched the Birthday Circle out and magic mounted it, again using red glitter on the B to highlight it and blend it in with the rest of the theme. Very happy with this card!! Great for boys birthdays and for someone who hates spiders I actually look at this card thinking the little spiders are actually cute. Not a word I generally associate to the fury little things!!!

Nearly done. Thanks to corrie for the inspiration to play with the Magic Stamps again. I used a wooden letter to impress the G and the Dusty Concord Distress Ink for the image. Used the Heidi Bazzill to mount the image then finished it off using the Girl Words and "Beautiful" which is my little girl in a nutshell!!! Very simple card and can be altered to any Letter and title to suit the subject. This stamped image would also look great in a Scrapbooking layout. I also did a toy truck and a couple of keyrings which liked great. I'll be playing with the magic stamps lots more!!!

May Creation No. 10

Okay so I did a demo recently and the girls wanted to use the rollergraph. It seems that that is the hottest product at the moment. So I had a play with the Baby Girl Jumbo wheel and the rosette ink from the old inks. Sorry I didn't have any of the ancient page ink cartridges at the time. Have lots now!!!! the card and tag literally take 4 rolls of the wheel while the lid for the box takes another 5-6. The most time consuming part is making the bow to attache to the top of the box. Thanks to Jonette and Ev for sharing this fantastic technique with me. And the boxes....no tape required!!! very simple. Will be submitting this one as a 2Hr W'shop. fingers crossed with this one!!! Need to make some minor alterations first to make it current Kaszazz range!! i ended up using the Card as the M&T for the workshop adn the girls all loved it!!

Here's my May Card Swap that Corrie ran for TTD. The theme was embossing so I have use the black crafters ink and clear embossing powder to embos e the large flourish from the Love & Cherish Stamp Set. I have then used the square punch to stamps 4 corners out of the flourish and used these portions for the decorative part of the card. I have used the endearement mini messages for the wording and again my black permaball pen for the border. the rest of the card is black with the panel contrasted with the white Bazzill. I love the classic black & white, hope you do to. Oh by the way...thanks to the girls who helped me put them all together at the last minute!!! Many hands make light work!!!

May Creation No. 8

Yes, Finally a Scrapbook page. I took these photos during a recent girls weekend in Anglesea. It was great. I Absolutely LLOVE the colours in this page. I have never really looked at the Whirlpool Bazzill until now and I love it!! Kept it very simple using white with it and the Alphabet uncut stamps to make whatever title I wanted. This stamp set is great!!! Hope you like it.

Here's my May card Swap for Karen's JWCC Workshop group. The theme this month was circles and I was very impressed with some of the cards that came back. You're all getting very creative!!!

Again I have used my black permaball marker to rule around the edges of both the white and the pink spots SB paper (Bella SB papers) and the circles have just been punched out using both the Whale and the medium sized punches, then I have decorated them with the black marker again.

I have re-discovered the K.I.S.S. theory....Keep It Simple Sweetheart!!! (I like sweetheart better than stupid!!) I have had lots of fun getting back to basics using SB papers, bazzil and punches!!

May Creation No. 7

Okay girls, back to it. I still have about 8 images to post so here goes. I created this card for our May TTD using the new Pina Colada and hibiscus stamps. I addedd glossy accents to the glass and the flower to highlight them and I used the Pearlescent Jewel Tone Chalks to colour over the Hibiscus border. Looks okay but I should have used the chalk eraser to tidy it up a little.

I will update these posts with the codes in the next few days but want to get them out for now.

The thing I loved most about the new release Beach theme SB range was that I got to bring out my shells and beachy decorations that have been hidden in the cupboards away from the kids. They complemented all the new samples perfectly. Mmmm i love the beach!!!

This project was sooooo easy and I think it looks great!!! 1 piece of SB paper, a circle chipboard with black handles, a nail file, some dark brown chalk ink to blend the edges and the Alphamega Arial Stickers for the numbers.....that's it!!! Great gift for Father's Day. I just just image it in Dad's study or library. Easy!!!

May Creations No. 4

I have come to like the effect of using the black permaball marker (660024) to highlight or finish off a design. I think they look funky and add a different feel to the image. Again I have used a little bit of contraband but in my defence these cards were done before the Kaszazz May 2009 release, and I would now use our OWN scallop punch for the flower.

May is a crazy time of year for birthdays so I was really happy to come up with this design at my last craft night here in the studio. I made variations in 3 different colours and personalised them using the Alphamini stickers in the Wierd Font.

Happy birthday to all the little munchkins...and the grown ups too of course, who celebrate their special day in May. K -xx-

I LOVE the template for this card.... Sooooo simple and soooo cute. Okay I have used a bit of contraband for this card being the cuttlebug, although technically that's an aditional tool so not really contraband however the scallop punch is an EK one!! AND with the new Kaszazz May 2009 Release we now have our own EXCLUSIVE scallop punches so this can be incorporated into this design. Oh and I have used a couple of buttons too.

This card was for a baby shower for my beautiful friend, Jo. The little man is due ANY day now so looking forward to meeting him soon!!!!

May Creations No. 2

Sorry all, I have had to create these all as separate posts. I'll keep it short and sweet....here goes..

Okay, card number 2 was made for a friend of my sister-in-law. I think the little love birds are very sweet and I love the Black and Green Bazzil together. Nothing special with this one, Ancient Page Ink (Coal Black) for the stamp with the olive green chalk ink for the circle, a bit of white spot organdy (70372) Did i mention that we now stock ALL of our ribbons in 2m lots!!! AWESOME!! And finally the corner rounder used for the scallops!!! I used the Mini messages - Endearments (4177KK) to add the sentiment. Whale Circle punche used to punch out the birds and the circle from the Doodle Designs Endearments set (4176KM)

May Creations

Okay just tried to upload a few image at a time but it's going to have to be one by one, so bear with me and I will try and get them all on throughout the week.
I made this card for a friend who recently got engaged. I used Ancient Page Ink - Aegean Blue (72085) for the image and the heart from the Love & Cherish Stamp set (4128KO) ....one of my favourites (. I have stamped it onto gloss card which gives it a beautiful shine and then added the organdy swirl ribbon and a flower with a rhinestone to blend it all together. I love this card and have made it up in different colours which look good too although I LOVE this blue!!! Back with more soon. K-x-

April Card Swap

Hi all, tonight is just a quick one. I had an order arrive today and got a bit of inspiration for Karen's Point Cook Workshop Group's April Card Swap. "Autumn" is the theme so I had a play with the Distress Inks onto Gloss card using the Kaszazz Leaf stamp (1784LH) I then cut it and mounted it with Parakeet Bazzill and used the new Endearment Words (4177KK) and mounted onto Apricot Bazzill. Finally I sponged the edges and then also stamped the Leaf in the Fired Brick Distress Ink to enhance the background, and stamped a couple of the leaves inside the card to carry the theme through to the inside. It's come up okay I think. Hope you like it.

I think I'll write this one up and send it in as a M & T Project. I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh, the other little lurk I managed to get from Rach on the weekend was how to use Picasa 3 to edit photos. I've had a little play to see how it works so hopefully it'll come up ok on here.

Okay that's all, hope you all have a good week.

My Cards

Okay so earlier this week I got all inspired about setting up a new blog page and the beautiful "sunny"template I found to use. Monday night I came home from work and drew a sketch of an idea I had for a card. Today I finally sat down and after 2 attempts here it is!!! "Rainbow Wish". Hope you like it. Inspired initially by Naomi Elliot's New Kaszazz Scrapbook workshop (2H188) "Whimsical Love - Pages & Pockets. I have used a bit of everything including my favourite - water colour crayons. I used them to colour the rainbow freehand, and then for the flowers across the bottom. I coloured directly onto the stamp and then spritz lightly before stamping. I used vivid inks for the sunshine because it is so bright and I stamped onto gloss card so that it's nice n shiny!! For the tree I used some of the new "Bella" paper - Borders & Dots (4833)

The other project I had this week was to prepare a photoboard as a memorial to my Grandmother (by marriage) Nelly Malcolm, who passed away on Tuesday 18th March 2009. She was 101 years old and what an amazing life she had. Again I was inspired by the fresh new Kaszazz Range and also the Team Builders Session given at our 2009 Conference by Anne Howie, a party plan expert who was very down to earth, practical and very encouraging. She discussed a scenario with an elderly lady sitting quietly under a tree with her grandson on her lap telling him about her life and achievements. I though this was a relevant scenairo for the photoboard so I incorporated this onto a large canvas and then added lots of beautiful photos of Nelly, her life achievements and family. I have attached a photo. I was a bit nervouse about what the family would think being that they are not " Crafty" but they loved it and have now asked me to make the Thank You cards.

Well that's all for now. Have a great Day!!!
