April Team Meeting 2009

Hi Team, and welcome to my new Blog Spot. I have set this up as an avenue of inspiration for you all, and to keep you up to date with my Kaszazz Adventures, Team events, New projects etc. Please feel free to email me mjc_1005@yahoo.com.au with any questions, feedback or just for a chat. I'd love to hear what you've been up to!! I have also set this up to benefit those of you who are not close enough to come along to Team Meetings and Training Days. This way you can still be a part of it all and I am only a button press away!!

We'll today is our first Team Meeting held at my home in Point Cook. Today we are going to make the new "Bella Stationery Gift Set" Created by Naomi Elliot and using the new SB papers and Stamp Set 4176KM Doodle Design Endearments and 4177KK Mini Messages Endearments. This cute little set is really quick and easy and makes a set of 5 Cards and matching Envelopes (The envelope idea suggested by a fellow Consultant...Thanx Corrie.) We have made some minor ammendments to the measurements for the box so that the envelopes fit inside. Hope you enjoy.

Congratulations to those of you who are achieving your goals and building you teams. The following girls have been recognised in the February Edition of the "Kaszazz Star" Christine C, Jonette, Debbie K, Tylee (Welcome to the team!). I would also like to welcome Debbie D to the team and to Congratulate both Katherine and Christine for having their recent project submissions accepted and posted on the Kaszazz Website. Well Done to all of you!!!

Last little bit for today. Here's a card I made for my Aunty-in-laws birthday. I love the watercolour crayons and the new mini mesages set. I also stamped a partial image onto the envelope to continue the theme. Hope she likes it!!!

My Cards

Okay so earlier this week I got all inspired about setting up a new blog page and the beautiful "sunny"template I found to use. Monday night I came home from work and drew a sketch of an idea I had for a card. Today I finally sat down and after 2 attempts here it is!!! "Rainbow Wish". Hope you like it. Inspired initially by Naomi Elliot's New Kaszazz Scrapbook workshop (2H188) "Whimsical Love - Pages & Pockets. I have used a bit of everything including my favourite - water colour crayons. I used them to colour the rainbow freehand, and then for the flowers across the bottom. I coloured directly onto the stamp and then spritz lightly before stamping. I used vivid inks for the sunshine because it is so bright and I stamped onto gloss card so that it's nice n shiny!! For the tree I used some of the new "Bella" paper - Borders & Dots (4833)



The other project I had this week was to prepare a photoboard as a memorial to my Grandmother (by marriage) Nelly Malcolm, who passed away on Tuesday 18th March 2009. She was 101 years old and what an amazing life she had. Again I was inspired by the fresh new Kaszazz Range and also the Team Builders Session given at our 2009 Conference by Anne Howie, a party plan expert who was very down to earth, practical and very encouraging. She discussed a scenario with an elderly lady sitting quietly under a tree with her grandson on her lap telling him about her life and achievements. I though this was a relevant scenairo for the photoboard so I incorporated this onto a large canvas and then added lots of beautiful photos of Nelly, her life achievements and family. I have attached a photo. I was a bit nervouse about what the family would think being that they are not " Crafty" but they loved it and have now asked me to make the Thank You cards.

Welcome

Welcome to my new blog page. I wanted this space to be somewhere you can come to just revamp and take time out from the craziness of life!!! I sat around this afternoon just pottering then I found this template and I was so energised by it. I Love it!!! I love the warmth and the colour and the "Sunshine" I hope it inspires you all too.

After having spent last weekend at Kaszazz Conference 2009, I have spent this week thinking of lots of great ideas and re-assessing what I want Kaszazz to be for me. Craft is my passion, it's my quiet time and my solace. I spend time looking at magazines and other peoples creative projects and that relaxes me. Being able to sit down and create something from all that inspiration is a bonus and a much appreciated gift from them - Thank you!! Kaszazz for me is also an opportunity to share the beautiful things in life with the people around me, my husband, my children, my family & friends. Kaszazz has given me the opportunity to challenge myself, build a new network of friends and see the positive and beautiful side of life, something that is taken for granted all to often these days. Oh and did I mention that I have a LOT of craft supplies?!?!?!

Saying all that, I want to be able to share these amazing rewards with you too. If that means I can teach you something new, show you something that inspires and excites you or just gives you a distraction from the kids for 5 minutes, then I'm glad I did.

I'm not sure how often I will be able to post, but I will do my very best to keep you up to date with any Kaszazz news, etc and when I get that creative buzz you'll be sure to see the outcome. I also hope that members of my Kaszazz Team, my loyal and supportive customers & friends and others just looking for a new idea will enjoy my blog and take with them a "little ray of sunshine" to brighten up your day and inspire you mind!!
